On March 26, the "Beautiful Qinghai, Happy Tibet" tourist train set off from Xining Railway Station. Over 300 passengers embarked on a 9-day spring adventure to Lhasa and Nyingchi, Tibet, aboard the specialized tourist train operated by CR-Qingzang. The journey is filled with scenic exploration, offering travelers the chance to enjoy flower viewing and the magic of the plateau in spring. With over 70% of passengers being seniors aged 60 and above, the train caters to a diverse group, including tourists from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Hunan, Hong Kong and even a tour group from Singapore.
Train conductor Wang Lu explained that to ensure the safety of all passengers, each oxygen-equipped sleeper carriage was staffed with professional medical personnel and equipped with oxygen supply devices. "Through this service, we aim to enhance the safety measures for highland 'silver-haired' tourist trains and lay a solid foundation for operating more such trains in the future," Wang Lu said.
In addition to comprehensive medical support, the train also featured rich cultural displays. Ethnic patterns adorned the carriage corridors, while paper-cut window decorations embellished the train windows, blending local cultural elements seamlessly into the journey. To further enrich the travel experience, CR-Qingzang dispatched a cultural performance team to present passengers with vibrant ethnic performances.
